Can Jolu BE any more boring?????????? First making out on the side of the road, now in the car garage. Wait. What did I miss? I know he knocked the cop out, but him being a Zacchara and all was saying he could get out of anything…(which wasn’t that the point of the whole scene??). ugh. hate. Reminds me of Jason’s old motorcycle shop. And weren’t they JUST ON THE RUN????????. oy! But..er, they are not on the run. The mind boggles.
Boy o’ boy–there seems to be a TON of Nikolas and Carly scenes. Just sayin’. I think Carly’s been carping about the same crap for 10 years. Same stuff, different men.
Kate and Sonny: Er, Sonny. You JUST MARRIED CLAUDIA and he tries to go over to Kate to what?? Rub it in? Ric lists: Kate, Emily and Lily…hmmmmmmm. Carly? Brender? Hanner? Angel? I still can’t believe Sonny and Emily were a couple for awhile. KATE mentions them too!! Emily and Lily. (guess they were the “saints” the others the ho’s??) Sonny: left with more angst than evah!!!!!!
Ric Hearst must be standing there saying “what in the heck did I do”??? HE’s so the new AJ.
Nikolas: ‘HOW’S THE HORSE SHOW GOIN’??? don’t hear that much these days. Heh.

Anyone watch ATWT? It’s getting good. I only watch it once a week when my goddaughter doesn’t work. Todd, I mean er…Paul got shot! I loved Jack paying for the wedding dress not tuition! LOL
What did Ric Hearst do?…..He didn’t get a clue and leave the show. I didn’t get why this guy hangs on with blood fingers to a ship that circling the drain.
It makes me wonder if he can never go home again to Alan-Michael and Guiding Light.
I really wish that GH in it’s current state would drop to dead last in the ratings. Then, I wish that TPB would get a clue and return the show to General Hospital and get rid of the mob and the characters that make it up. That includes Maurice B.’s Sonny.
Any writer interested being the head writer would be required to know the history and watch the show from it’s inception in 1963 to pre-Guza.
This show is so disjointed it is unwatchable. Love the Qs (what’s left of them) but they are just there as comedic props. THey have no real purpose. Luke, a character I loved for 30 years, can disappear tomorrow and I wouldn’t care. I watched and know he loves Laura and did love and want his children. Can’t bear the the pod Luke he has become and hope he retires and leaves. Tracy has always been a favorite. But this Tracy I don’t recognize. She is there to prop up Luke and when TG goes on vacation, she has nothing to do. THen there are the “stringers”–characters without purpose, without a story or without any connection to core characters–and there are too many to list.
When are TIIC going to wake up? We’re sick of Sonny, Jason and the mob. There isn’t one happy couple. I’m sure Guza is already planning a breakup of Robin and Patrick even before they are married. No suspense, no one to root for, no magic, no romance, no chemistry. So I have given up a show I’ve watched for years. It is just a shell of its former self and too sad to watch pod GH.

Sonny/Claudia/Ric could be a good story but Guza like with other characters has lost his MoJo…Where is Austin Powers when you need him?

Carly and Nik are growing on me….Carly out of Sonny and Jason’s orbit lets all say it THANK YOU GUZA, PLEASE, PLEASE, continue this…I could see Carly/Nik together. I would love the Alexis, Luke, Laura, Sam, Lucky, Liz reactions to this and If for some great miracle they get a chance to bring back my favorite villianess,…………….
HELENA, her and Carlybabes up against each other WOW…great soap if written right..
but I digress everything goes by the writing on soaps and the writing on GH is………………………. horrible and choppy and that is being very, very, very nice.
I have a lot more to say, but little time at the moment. I also still haven’t FFWD’d through…err…watched today’s GH yet, but I have to comment on the “Carly’s been carping about the same crap for 10 years” comment.
I collect comic books and last year an editor at Marvel Comics, referring to the outrage at them breaking up Peter Parker & Mary Jane, said that he wasn’t worried about repitition because the average fan collects comics for only three years.
It’s possible that the Guza and the scriptmonkeys in charge over at GH have come to the conclusion that the average soap fan only hangs around for a maximum of 3 years. Hence, the repetitious storylines.
Tada and Spinelli opens a can of whoop butt on Sonny thats what needs to be done with this mob crap.The GH I knew does not exist anymore and hasn’t for the last year.I say people quit watching it I have I just read Karens blog and that way I don’t have to upchuck with the writing as it is.
DJ Rogue – Love the ScriptMonkeys comment. I do agree with Anonymous about how disjointed the show has become. My question is why wait until the Spring to see if Guza goes? I mean the show is in serious trouble in storylines and ratings. Try to save the show, not cancel it.
Used to watch ATWT, the show had an annoying character by the name of Katie Paretti (sp?) and it used to be the Katie hour for the longest time. Quit ATWT to watch OLTL because Marcie and John McBain caught my viewing attention.

I knew you would comment on the 2 characters listing the same 3 of Sonny’s lovers, made no sense, why would 2 people independently mention only those 3, especially considering Sonny’s oh-so-numerous conquests.
And ITA about the Jolu stupid scenes in the garage. And, it’s upstate NY, why is Lulu wearing only a cropped sweater?
Lulu and Johnny (the actors, not the characters), both look like they are trying their best to deliver the lines as written, but can’t quite believe that the writing is that bad.

I won’t comment about JoLu because I FFd thru them. They are too unwatchable. I did stop when Spixie showed up, but still stupid. Hey we’re on the run (again), please help, just kidding you’re not on the run anymore. Um, ok. Just go on vacation til you have an actual purpose. So boring!
I’m totally tired of sonny/carly/claudia/az/the mob. If they put carly w/ nik I will cry because she is a banchee from hell and I don’t want nik to be involved in that craptastic mess.

I think it is about time that Sonny and Carly were put out to pasture. There is just nothing new or interesting that these incompetent writers can do to make us want to watch them anymore. Poor Rick Hearst – such a fine actor and with a new contract that reduces him to wallpaper. Nadine should be eliminated ASAP too. Her idiotic behavior reduces the class and quality of Nicolas’ character. She isn’t amusing – just embarassing. JoLu are boring together. After watching the season of Mad Men, a truly brilliant and well-written “soap”, this show really looks like crap.
There is nothing fresh: no suspense, no romance, no passion, no chemistry with any of the character. Violence, misogyny, detachment, darkness, occasional raw sex, and character destruction are plentiful as are complete disregard for history. Lulu and Johnny are a pathetic attempt by Guza et al to recreate the magic of Luke and Laura. It won’t work; can’t work. JMB is okay but she is not the actress GF is and Johnny is a bore, certainly not a TG. They have no chemistry. Zero. Snoozefest. Everyone is tired of Carly, Sonny and Jason and Sam. LW’s Carly is the worst of the 3 who portrayed her. Idiot, whining shrew comes to mind. SB’s Carly at least was devious and complex, Tamara’s was softened and was matured a bit but now I just flip the channel. Sonny has had his run. Time to go. Jason has no chemistry with anyone. Eye candy like GV’s Lucky. I do not believe this Lucky is Luke’s son. Haven’t seen real chemistry since JJ’s Lucky and Liz and Sonny/Brenda/Jax, Ned-Lois, Dillon-Georgie. The Zaccara family as villians along with the Russians are a joke. Real villians like, Helena, Faith (how fabulous was she), Damian and Frank Smith, and the great Faison–they were great. Everything now is cartoonish. TG is phoning it in–few buy this “mature” Luke; Luke now defined as a free-loading drunk sponging off the Qs, indifferent to his children. Excuse me, but we’ve known this man for 30 years and this is not “mature” and it is not the real Luke. The great JE as Tracy should have a big storyline yet she is propping up Luke and when TG leaves for half the year, well, she is sidelined along with the rest of the Qs. I never thought I’d say it, but Luke has been so deconstructed, I don’t care if he retires. And that’s the problem with the whole show: who cares.

Commenting on something you wrote the other day about readership being down. I used to religiously come to your site to read gossip before I had DVR. I feel DVR has changed the way I watch soaps. Yes, I agree with a lot of the comments above. The mob has taken over and it is getting old, but i have to say that since I DVR all GH and watch them in groups, it makes it much easier to stomach. I think some of the things that seem disjointed come together a little better when you watch it in one or two week clumps. Granted soaps aren’t meant to be watched that way so maybe that’s a whole other argument. I digress, my point being, with DVR the spoilers and gossip that I used to read daily I can’t read as much because I’m not watching daily. I don’t want to get to far ahead and maybe some others feel the same way. I have to say this, yesterday I spent my day off catching up (I’m a month behind) and the whole Robin’s baby/Wedding thing was fabulous and it made me once again realize why GH has the best cast. Maybe the overall storylines aren’t always going the way we want it, but it’s the individual scenes that still make me tune in.
Thanks cillann, for the Faith Roscoe mention. Faith was my girl, absolutely loved her with Rick. Loved it when she tried to “eliminate” Liz, wish that she did a better job!!!
I agree about the sad state of affairs on GH, the mob has got to go ASAP. I miss the good old daze of Luke and Laura, and all the drama. All we get now, is a big fat mess that we have to try figure what is going on.
I think LW does an awesome job as Carly. Carly has a vulnerable side, and LW plays it much better then any of the other actresses ever did. Not to say SB is not a good actress – she rocks as Claudia, but LW IS Carly. I too loved the Faith mention – she was awesome with Rick, and I wish she could have done a better job with Liz.
I would love for GH to becaome about the hospital again!!

A few weeks ago, I wrote in to say that I was sick of the mob crap and changed to ATWT for a few weeks to see if there was something different out there. Wow!!! I saw families celebrating Thanksgiving with traditions and characters honored. I saw families interacting. I saw a mystery. I saw an intriguing triangle with Carly/Jack/Janet all of whom I like as actors (who could not enjoy seeing the beautiful and talented Maura West!!). I also saw the relationship of Noah and Luke, an extremely popular couple played by two talented actors. And I saw shockers, things that were not in the spoilers at all and like I used to see on GH. A phone call is made by the bad girl to someone and first thing I know the recipient turns around and it is one of Margo’s police officers who everyone thinks highly of. Then Lucinda marries Brian and that same night, he is comforting Luke and gives him a kiss on the lips. And I’m going What the Heck? I used to love that about GH but now it is so predictable. What a shame to waste all that talent. Anyways I am having a good time watching ATWT and I urge others to try it for a week or two and see what you think.
