From We Love Soaps . As has been said, General Hospital is going High Def this month. That’s why the set was closed for week and people look like they have masks on (air brused make-up). That link also says that THERE WILL BE A NEW OPENING!! :thud: Wubber David had a suggestion for the new opening in which Steve Hardy is the one that says “General Hospital” and uses vintage clips to progress until now. Somehow I doubt that will happen. Heck, they should have had a contest for FANS to come up with some openings!
Tyler Christopher and Laura Wright had a fan event in NY this weekend. It’s all over the net that Laura spilled that Carly will indeed be PG. Will the baby survive? I can’t imagine them having her lose ANOTHER one, but you know Guza. He’s not a cheerful sort! At least it’s JAX;s and if I get what I want, it will be a girl names Janie-Jean! Tyler also spilled that the writers don’t know who Rebecca really is yet! Brahahahahahaha! So, let’s see, I know for a fact there is in-fighting on who Ethan is…now this. No wonder nothing ever makes sense or ties up in a nice bow. When I think of the time wasted on the Nadine “WMD” story, the Ric goes to the Vineyard tale and the fact that neither Trevor or poor Leyla got any kind of a send off it drives me insane! You’d think Lanie and Kelly could have had something for her.

Tom Pelphrey…he was Reva’s son on GL Jonathan, right? He is absolutely amazing. He’s won at least one emmy I believe. If the GH writers would actually come up with some good material, he would certainely do it justice. I know him and Kim Zimmer had some AMAZING storylines and he played them extremely well. I’d love to see him on GH!

Car/Jax – I agree, she needs to hold on to this baby. If they don’t name the baby after Lady Jane then I would like them to name the baby after Bobbie. Michael was named after Mike/Sonny, Morgan after Jason, this one needs to be a girl and needs to be named after the grandmamas!
Tom Pelphrey – He’s won 2 Emmys and I’ve seen his film clips off the Emmy shows, he seems to be a good solid actor. Plus he played Kim Zimmer’s (Reva, GL) son. She has 4 Emmys and certainly is no slouch in the acting department. If he couldn’t have held his own I doubt he would have stuck around. I just don’t know why GH is willing to wait and drop the proverbial storyline ball in the mean time. Really, who is going to give a rats rump about Dante when he shows up on screen? David Lago was nominated 5 times for the Emmy and won it once. I would think he is a pretty good actor as well (and looks eerily like Maurice Bernard).
LOVE LOVE LOVE the spilling on Carly being PG. Of course they can’t just let them be happy (same with Scrubs) they will have angst over Jax knowing about claudias involvement in the shooting of Michael. Even though we will know for what, like 2 weeks in soap opera time? Please! I am holding out hope that Rebecca is Emily, but that is too obvious, so who knows. They are putting them togetehr way too soon and she is no longer harsh, she is Emily without the relationships of the others around her, which sucks. That’s what most EM fans loved about the girl, softening the Q’s and Jason, BFF to Liz, etc.
Speaking of Angst, could they not have had a few lines thrown together for Liason last week? Like a how are you, how’s jake, are you ok since you nearly frickin died kinda conversation?
So they are going to SORA one of Carly’s children then give her a new baby? What will be the age range between her kids?

Love that you referred to Dante as Damien, as I secretly would get a kick out of Damien Spinelli and Dante turning out to be twins separated at birth. If Sonny has to have such numerous progeny, I’d love to see him have one that’s difficult in a non-broody way. I’m imagining Spin referring to him as Mr. Prolific Father Sir, or The Original Dark Father, or The Reluctant Mr. Father Sir, and following him around like he does Jason. (A little poetic justice for Sonny Sir.)

I faithfully watched GL when Tom was on. He was excellant. He stayed toe to toe with KZ. He was one of the top 5 actors on the show at the time. I understand why they are holding out for him. He would be perfect. Tom and Maurice would be magnetic.
Baby for Carjax and some happiness for Scrubs for longer than 1 show would be appreciated.
The Apprentice made no sense.. It think something ate donalds brain.. both firings seemed wrong to me Clint should have gone and just him. Jesse’s team should have won. I am the target demo and found it a hoot. I guess they didn’t really want a viral video.. People don’t forward commericals unless they are a certain kind of funny.
Tom Pelphrey is an amazing actor. It’s really surprising that we’ve only seen him in a few guest starring roles. And I really doubt that he will be on GH. I heard last week that he’s moving back to the East Coast.

Michael is soras’d to 18. Tom Pelphrey is a great actor but he’s pushing 30. I think he’s got to old of a look to play Olivia and Sonny’s son, not that he wouldn’t be an asset.
I think Lago would be a better choice. Also a great actor, Emmy award winning but has more of Sonny’s build and facial structure and he does brooding really well.
The only way I can see Tom as Michael is if Guza DOES go through with the rumor of Claudia hooking up with Michael. Lago doesn’ thave the physicality for a sex with Sarah Brown – she needs a bigger guy.

Tom Pelphrey is amazing! He won his two Emmys (nominated for four) because he was great with Kim Zimmer. Memorable scenes like the fountain scene, the haircut, when Tammy died are examples of what earned him his nominations and his loyal following of fans. He’s like a Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson and James Dean, all in one. If they cast him, let him grow his sexy hair back again. He’s not just hot, he sizzles!

Is anyone surprised that they haven’t figured out who Rebecca is yet? Or Ethan? Yet I have to wonder how they didn’t figure out from the TMK storyline that writing a storyline as you go without some sort of idea of where you are heading is a bad idea. The only other people who can do such a piss-poor job and not get fired are corporate executives! Come on, people!
have been a Guiding Light fan for 40 years.I will miss it. The best shows are when Jonathan and Tammy played the love story. Tom Pelphrey is the best actor, he is alive on tv. He wins your soul. If he goes to GH I will be there to. I hope to see more of Tom Pelphrey.
