Lori has been kind enough to share this with us about the latest SID (Soaps In Depth). Thought you’d like the info and maybe you can go out and grab one. It’s not often I promote a mag–but this issue looks like a good one. SID is by the way, bi-weekly and covers either ABC or CBS soaps “indepth”. I like it because when I pick up the ABC issue, it’s filled with just MY soaps!
Kate Fans: The special article in the new SID is a 4 page spread showing all of
Megan Ward’s ad campaigns from the 80s when she was a working model. Most of
which are from when she was working in Japan. Absolutely beautiful.
Ethan Fans: There is an eye opening article about his association with the Boom
Kat Dance Theater in Santa Monica. He’s been doing musical theater for the past
3 years. Yes he dances, which he says is his passion, and sings. Here’s what
kind of freaked me out. In a lot of the photos he has his hair pulled back into
a pony tail and he’s been shot in profile…. he looks just like Ashton Kutcher!
It gives me the heebee jeebees 
Scott Clifton Fans: There is a great 4 page spread showing his home in NY now
that he is on OLTL. It looks pretty cozy (and neat) for a bachelor LOL
I have to say that if you are going to spend your money on a magazine pick up
SID. (I just let my subscription to SOD go after 20 years.) The new magazine
has Carly and Claudia featured in the main picture with Solivia, JaSam, and JMB
in smaller photos around the edge.
SID has a Twitter account too. They are very good at answering/tweeting back and forth too! it is @soapsindepthabc (Or @soapsindepthcbs if you watch CBS)

The only reason I bought SID was BECAUSE of Megan Ward, I will continue not to buy it unless they start giving their HONEST take on GH. I hope the writers have big cramps trying to undo the damage they have done to GH. The s/l’s are horrible and boring, come on Dante is Olivia’s kid please he looks older then the boy toy she has. When oh When are they going to admit they were wrong, I don’t know about anybody else BUT has Olivia morphed into Mother Theresa? They need to go back to belieable stories, first wipe out the mob they are sooooooo old and Sonny has become soooooooo mean&boring, let’s get love back and if you want teen rebels go to the CW network they are loaded with them, Skate, Jason & Elizabeth, Sam & Lucky (they were hot) Alexis & Raynot(real possibilites, send Ethan, Fake Em, Luke, & Nic (the princeluy bore away on a long vacation, Let Kate come back and fight O for Sonny, and oh yes PLEASE LEAVE SOON SARAH JOY BROWN PLEASE……………….
I really like SID too. The picture caption and comments are snarky and funny, and the whole soap scene is treated with affection without seeming hysterical about it.

I had a subscription to SID for quite a while but got SO sick and tired of Sonny being on every cover, in every issue, with full page portraits of Bernard and all the Sonny news you could stomach–and I couldn’t anymore. Somebody there really liked him, to the exclusion of other popular actors. He was already so overexposed on the show, that I sure didn’t want a magazine doing the same thing.
I thought it was great to get all ABC, but not all Bernard. But, then, what else is there that occupies GH five days a week? Does that guy every get tired, worn out from working every single day, memorizing all those pages? Couldn’t they let him rest a couple days a week while they pay attention to some other actors and stories, stories we actually want to see? Maybe Alexis could have a story with Raynor, that would be very interesting, and maybe we could see Alexis and Diane open their own law firm. Oh, and the death of Claudia would please most of us–doesn’t matter how as long as she’s gone.
Mob and Sonny have nearly finished me and I’ve gone to watching OLTL with enthusiasm. At least their stories involve more than two actors and no one is on 5 days a week, week after week after week, boring up to death. Not all of it is great, of course, but most of it is interesting. And they follow thru on their stories instead of letting them sputter and die midway.
I let my subscription to SID expire because of all the false statements on the covers. You buy it expecting one thing and the article is about something completely different. And a lot of mistakes in the weekly recaps, printed reports of things that never happened. I don’t waste my money anymore.
I just love maurice and Sarah and hope sarah stayes on gh so they can kick some ass together.They are the perfect mob couple.And i hope the stuped wrighters give her and maurice better story.Sarah’s number 1 fan
