“I’ll Drive Myself”…

Oh Edward! Such foreshadowing. How about Monica’s “I’ve learned over the years that everytime Port Charles holds a big event it ends in disaster”… LOL

Now, this would be so good for Claudia right now, to forgive Christina..bond with her, redeem herself. I mean, if they don’t want her with Sonny, fine but don’t paint her into such a corner!! Jerry Jacks isn’t telling, neither will we!!

Rebecily’s outfit was so weird today. I called it a Vestialjumperstraightjacket. And SHE GETS A DRESS! Some one needs to count up all the dresses given to women since Guza’s been on duty. I’m saying Brenda got two (one from Jax, One from Sonny), Hannah got one (Sonny), Alexis (sonny), Chloe (Jax), Emily (Nikolas), Laura/Lasha (Stefan)…there has to be more.  Guza must have watched old eppies of Bonanza.

And…Sonny blames himself for Kristina’s actions and gives her $200 to go buy something to wear to the carnival. Hope it’s something smashing.  :eyeroll:

Guess we are on our way to the fair, wubbers!! Here’s hoping it’s good and doesn’t last like 3 weeks.

Daytime Gives Back was showcased on the Daytime Emmys this year for it’s work with Feed the Children. Soaps stars in attendance were Susan Lucci, Kelly Monaco and Tony Geary.  Their inspiring documentary about the trip to Kenya was so moving, many audience members were in tears. TG couldn’t contain his emotions when talking about the children that touched his life. The documentary, “Kenya, How We See It” will be available to view in full  on Fox’s Reality Channel (TBA). Unfortunately, Soap Net passed on airing the entire special because they “don’t do documentaries”. I personally think that PERHAPS they could have made an exception in this case. It would have been a great thing to bring awareness and maybe much needed ratings to the station. Just sayin’

Clip of the emotional doc during the Emmys incase you missed it:

We also saw a food drive in NYC that had many daytime stars helping with the distribution and charity right here at home. Check out We Love Soaps  for details including some great video.

BTW, Twitter  played a big role in getting the word out about this drive. Daytime Emmys and producer Jim Romanovich kept fans updated with tweets, video streams and twitpics.

I’ll keep you posted on the date for the documentary airing! Next charity up: Kim McCoullough and Jason Thomson walk for AIDS LA…  (Oct 18th) you know I’ll be promoting the heck out of that soon!

sodmypic can you see who’s on that issue of SOD?!

So, the kiddies are home, Mrs. Mayor finds out Eddie knows she was at the Metro Court…Spin goes a little crazy (heh) and Claudia plots on. Did I leave anything out?

We know Jax is going to be in BIGTROUBLE soon!

Poor Claudia *sniff* even Johnny is mad at her! When are there ever customers at that “Xtreme Garage”!!??

Sonny is making sense..why would Jason think that Jerry was lying?? Cause he’s psychic too?! LOVED the Kristina/Daddy scenes. IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!!! Seeing Mo with her was great.

WELL, WELL..WELLLLLLL. Sonny and Kristina FINALLY have a scene together.

HEY! Happy Bday to Gedstern! She’s the reason the WubsNet exists so bow down to her.

Kirsten Storms tweeted: wearing a wedding dress freaks me out…! I guess that she’s filming the wedding!! Or post-wedding.

NLG is back from Europe…ready to go back to work! (well, not sure if she’s ready, but she’s going!)

AND…don’t believe all the rumors you see out there about the Carnival. It’s been license for people to just run wild.

WUBQUEEN’S Best Dressed:

Nice night I thought! Kudos to Jim Romanovich the producer of the show who worked tirelessly to get it on a station and give us a high quality entertainment. The red-carpet preshow was fabu too. Jamey Giddens and Nelson Branco were so fun providing the preshow comment. Nice tux’s!

Best dressed for me was Lori Laughlin in a beautiful salmon colored dress. Julie Marie Berman (Winner for younger actress) and Kirsten Storms went all retro-glam and looked so nice. Here’s some pics for you to take a gander: Splash News.
If you want to see some of the show, run over to Daytime Confidential  because they have clips of everything!

Some things I remember is watching Rick Hearst saying he was ‘off contract’ with GH and then B&B picked him up. AND BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL won best show! woo hoo! I also loved the Sesame Street part. All those original players on? Gordon, Susan, and Bob??!! Nice.  Tyler Christopher and Becky Herbst danced to a song that showcased Daytime fashion. It lasted exactly 2 hours, which was great but B&B totally got cut off at the end.

VERY HOT on the carpet! People were sweating. How do they not turn into puddles? eesh.  Did you notice ABC didn’t even bother to send anyone to pick up their awards? The View and GMA both won and no one in the audience accepted. That’s cold. At least send some poor intern –they would have loved it!

Can I even COMMENTon GH winning best writing? I’ll try. This was totally OLTL’s year, I feel.  Ron Carlivati delivers almost EVERYDAY on the show. We know these are judged on one show…GH does well  on that one shot blast–but not consistent. Just made me NOT HAPPY! We’ll have Mr. Guza forever. Just sayin’.

THANK YOU TO all Wubbers who made Emmy Night a blast. Many of us were IMing on Skype.  There were twitters coming in from stars and writers and many websites. I tell you what, twitter just brings us all together. I’m also connecting more and more with you, my readers! Some day, when I win the mega millions, I am flying you all to a giant WUBS cocktail party some place fab. (so keep those fingers crossed that I win!)

DAYTIME Emmy Extravaganza!

Yes, I’m wearing Zac Posen!

Many of you already signed up on Skype to chat during the Daytime Emmy show tonight. (starting with Pre-Emmy carpet show 7pm/est). I am doing this because I want to be able to chat with everyone–and it would be too many tweets. We are not phoning or videoing, it’s just IMing. If you’d like to join, go to Skype and find me, kdmask. Send me a message and I’ll put you on the list.

The Show will be on The CW network, check local listings for channel. Some people have emailed to tell me they don’t get the channel in their package–all the more reason to join in the WUB party! Vanessa Williams is set to host the show which will feature singing, dancing and the Kenya Doc made by daytime stars Susan Lucci, Tony Geary and Kelly Monaco.  (Daytime Gives Back).

Watch for Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) and Becky Herbst (Liz) to present together as well as Kirsten Storms and Bradford Anderson (Spixie).

Nancy Lee Grahn tweeted she wasn’t attending the show. (Hmmm, wondered who rumored that?!) Seems like the audience has to pay for their own tickets. Just on principle some have decided not to shell out the dough.  Speaking of those going–it’s going to be in the 100’s in LA which can mean red carpet meltdowns! Hope there’s mucho water on the red carpet!

Gift Bag Swag is all the rage for noms and presenters. Here’s a something I found that will be in this year’s bags from candy.com . For a complete list of fun Swag go to this page on SOD.

Amy from The Scrubs Hub will be ON THE RED CARPET tweeting and sending twitpics to all of us! How fun is that? Other Wubbers are attending as well. Can’t wait to hear about the excitement!

Friday Carnival Craze!

Get thee to the WubsNet for the latest on the Carnival Spoilers! The two biggest rumors not confirmed yet: Edward dies and Alkazar is behind all this. So, sit tight while things keep coming in! Remember to hit a sponsor. Speaking of, I got this nice note in the comments:

Thanks for contributing to Rick’s bday campaign fundraiser for the Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation (who used to be his girlfriend in the 70s).
btw, Rick is going to play an 80s version of himself on Californication for 4 episodes this fall.  Season starts Sept. 27 on Showtime.
There’s an interesting new clip up for it:

And Rick’s fans are making a valiant effort to get him to the top of the Mr. Twitter on the Tweeterwall for his birthday.  He’s moved up quickly in the last few days, but Nathan Fillion’s fans are die hard as well.

DORI–I just saw your link to the Soap cover with Jason and mystery woman. I think she’s on Days and they just put those two pics next to each other–looked like they were together but they weren’t.

I have a horrific migraine today and I’m going to SKYPE today at 3:oo during GH to “Practice” for the Emmy show Sunday! Remember,  Skype is easy and free. Just go to www.skype.com, download and look for kdmask. You can also RSVP to maskedrumors@aol.com . We’ll have an Emmy Party list going! About 10 people are on already.

Jake Martin #1 is on OLTL now..I love him!! 🙂 I don’t remember the whole Rex story at all. I don’t think I was watching much then. Kristen A is turning into a great little actress. She totally held her own with Robin S today.

Well, I’m going to Skype about the show today and tweet some things.

Had a fun interview  with Lisa LoCicero (Oliva) …just some fluff questions and things I’ve been dying to ask her about the show and her life outside GH. (she did a guest gig on one of my fave shows!!)

AMC:  Ted Kennedy interruptus. Actually, that was more exciting than the show. I do hope Amanda gets that baby back soon. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I’m sick of BABY DRAMAZ on Soaps already!

OLTL:  There’s STACEY PeePee! Will she spill? Great Shane, mess  it up! Like I said: Sick of Baby DRAMAZ already! We just got done with Starr/Hope!

Dorian getting all turned on over the Mayor’s power talk! LOL…

Fish./Leyla, pretty good today! Although I don’t buy Leyla’s big attachment to The Fish. I just don’t.

General Hospital:  Alexis to Nikolas “YOU SOUND JUST LIKE STEFAN”!! Get out the Feta, I feel Cassadine’s a comin’!!!!!!

Holy “stuck in a cabana”–get Michael and Kristina out of there. Like Kristina’s line about “cleared up by now”.

Loves Olivia’s dress and handbag today! A bit dressy but…Hmmmm. Nice.

Mac Daddy! Oh, you’re making me mad not liking Spin. 😦

Morgan/Molly cute! She’s a little 50 year old, isn’t she? LOL. Keifer…grrrr. Good actor though.

Spoilers  are updated, not too much as the carnival stuff is coming in fast and furious and not sure what’s what yet. Now, it seems Jake is hurt  and Niz will have sex while Lucky is with the kid at the hospital? Rumor so far.

SEINFELD reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm in Sept (I have to get HBO quick!) See the Cover  on EW’s site. Awesome. I so miss that show.

All My Children this week has taught the Serial Drama girls that Baby Trevor is far wiser than any of his parental figures, and that Tad Martin may, in fact, be the biggest Zach/Kendall ‘shipper of them all. (Serial Drama)

The Young and the Restless has been a favorite soap of Mary Montanari for a very long time, but as of late, more often than not, she finds herself fast forwarding through several convoluted plots. Please Y&R, give us a break and end some of these brutally boring storylines. (Soap Opera Examiner)
